With a pervasive interest in portraiture, the processes I undergo to create my works involve traditional methods of figurative portrait painting combined with non-traditional collage and abstraction techniques. These processes allow me to evocatively explore themes of emotion, personhood and the human condition through the materiality of the process and exploration into what it truly means to be human.

This painting series explores how familial relationships, particularly that of mother and child, impact personhood.
